Ma.de.Moi.'.Elle Map
This serie is part of the projects including body painting, created in collaboration with the make-up artist Itzy Loren.
The material that was used - white the clay - was applied directly to the body, and acquired progressively different textures it dried. This transformation gave an increasing variation and meaning to the images.
In indigenous cultures, clay is used to characterize very significant moments and ritual in preparation for big events. Part of the aim of these images was to express the warrior spirit through the painted body. Almost fierce, the earth reflects a loss, the body itself becomes a map, and the skin a wild land.
